Wang Yuanyuan
Wang Yuanyuan is co-founder and artistic director of the Beijing Dance Theater (BDT). She is a honorary fellow of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and a board member of the Beijing Dancers Association. Wang is an internationally celebrated modern dance and contemporary ballet choreographer. She holds degrees from the Beijing Dance Academy and the California Institute of Arts School of Dance.
Since she co-founded the BDT in 2008, Wang has led the company in creating numerous works in contemporary ballet, including Diary of Empty Space, Uncertain Space, Haze, Prism, The Color of Love, Harvester, Martlet, Stirred from a Dream, Golden Lotus, Wild Grass, Hamlet, The Nightingale and the Rose, 37.2 Degrees, Poison, Requiem, and A Leaf in the Storm. Of particular note is her choreography for Haze, Wild Grass, Golden Lotus, Hamlet, The Nightingale and the Rose, and Poison, White Snake · Revelations. She has also directed a stage play, an adaptation of Ibsen’s The Lady from the Sea.
Wang was resident choreographer at the National Ballet of China, and guest choreographer at the Royal Danish Ballet, the HK Academy for Performing Arts, New York City Ballet, Thüringer Staatsballett, Shanghai Ballet, Liaoning Ballet, and Tianjin Ballet. Choreography credits include Raise the Red Lanterns for the National Ballet of China, The Color of Love for the Royal Danish Ballet, Early Spring for the Shanghai Opera House, Moorland Elegies for the Vanemunie in Estonia, and multiple modern dance pieces.
Wang has won Best Choreography Awards at the French International Ballet Competition, the Varna International Ballet Competition, the USA International Ballet Competition, the Moscow International Ballet Competition, and the Shanghai International Ballet Competition.
Wang has taught master classes at the Mark Morris Dance Center, the Kennedy Center, the University of Chicago’s School of Dance, Sadler’s Wells, Theater Bonn, the National Theater of Iceland, the Cervantes Arts Festival, the Isreali Opera, Washington Dance Center, HK Academy for Performing Arts, and the Beijing Dance Academy.
Wang is also the director of the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and the Beijing Olympic Winter Games 2022, she is sat on the judging panels of the Seoul International Dance Competition, the Modern Dance Award of the China Lotus Awards, the NCPA International Ballet and Choreography Competition, the Shanghai International Arts Festival Rising Artists Works. She is also the Director of Dance for the CPAA Theaters and Beijing Dance Academy Admission Examination Committee.
Louise Borden  
Louise Borden is an educational consultant and experienced educator who actively participates in industry conferences and seminars to learn about admissions, colleges, financial aid, and student life. As an expert on admissions to performing & visual arts majors, she and her team conduct webinars, workshops, and lectures for other educational consultants as well as for students and parents on admissions to arts majors.
Louise also has a master’s degree in TESOL and over 30 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language to over a thousand students from all over the world. She has taught English privately and at the college and high school level as well as coordinated language programs. She brings her personalized approach and years of experience teaching international students to her college consulting practice.

Robert Borden is the President of Blueprint and Chair of the Arts Advisory Board at Best Fit Education.  He is also currently serving as the Associate Dean of Enrollment at the Tianjin Juilliard School, Juilliard’s only campus outside of NYC, in Tianjin, China. He has spent more than two decades working in college enrollment, holding the posts of Vice President of Enrollment at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), Vice President of Enrollment at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and various enrollment capacities at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music and  Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Robert has effectively served to assist each of these schools in finding and enrolling talented students and attaining each institution's student enrollment goals. Now, in his work for Best Fit Education, he is able to use his years of knowledge and expertise in the area of visual and performing arts, as well as niche school enrollment, to counsel institutions on strategies to reach their enrollment goals through our Blueprint Enrollment Management Tool and our other institutional consulting services. Robert earned his undergraduate degree in music education at DePauw University and obtained his MS Ed. in Higher Ed Administration from Miami University of Ohio.

As an editor, writer, and writing coach with nearly 30 years of experience in academic, education nonprofit, and newspaper settings, Amy is thrilled to be able to apply her skills to helping Best Fit Education students pursue their passions and goals. After a decade of working as a journalist, she served as communications director for an educational nonprofit organization in Cambridge, MA and subsequently worked as a freelance writer and editor. Amy hails from an immediate and extended family filled with musicians and artists, including her singer-songwriter sister and composer daughter. She has also been immersed in higher education  her whole life, given that both of her parents, her husband, and other relatives are university professors. So, Amy’s interest in and comprehension of higher education  runs deep and working with students in the arts comes naturally.

Madeleine graduate from University of California Santa Barbara with a BA in Sociology, is motivated to advocate for and help prospective university students successfully get into university. She understands how nuanced it can be to match each students to their best fit schools. Her passion for this field was ignited while in college, as she made a plan for herself to graduate in four years despite transferring. As a Southern California native and product of the University of California (UC) system, she is very knowledgeable about the UC and California State University (CSU) applications .
Jesse Damazo

Jesse Damazo is a filmmaker, media artist, and educator based in Los Angeles. He has worked for more than 10 years in higher education admissions including teaching film at the University of Iowa and serving as film admissions counselor at CalArts. His films have screened as official selections at international film festivals. , including Cannes, Slam Dance, Pan African Film Festival, Portland Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Reykjavik International Film Festival, and several others. He has also exhibited in fine art galleries and experimental film festivals.

Sinah Ober was born in Germany’s Black Forest to a carpenter and a tailor. Her award-winning films are about personal perspective and individual experience. She is interested in childhood, femininity, sexuality, history/culture, and trauma. Sinah works as an independent freelance director, producer, and actor in Los Angeles and Berlin. As an educator, Sinah has taught at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and as part of CalArts’s Community Arts Partnership program. She is always interested in helping Best Fit Education clients reach their highest potential and find their voice as a filmmaker and creator.

Julie Bour has dedicated over three decades to dance, leaving an indelible mark on the art form through her unwavering commitment and talent nurturing. Her journey commenced at the esteemed Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where she underwent rigorous training under the tutelage of influential choreographers such as Dominique Bagouet, Maguy Marin, and Carolyn Carlson, among others. These formative years laid the groundwork for Julie's illustrious career, instilling in her a profound understanding of movement and expression.
Since 2014, Julie has been a full-time faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where she imparts her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of dancers. Her teaching encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including contemporary technique, composition, improvisation, partnering, and interdisciplinary practices. Currently, she serves as the MFA in Choreography Program Director at CalArts, shaping the future of dance education and performance.
Julie Bour's current focus lies in redefining performance-making to empower both participants and viewers, challenging conventional boundaries at CalArts and beyond.

Zhang Xiaochuan graduated from the PLC Academy of Arts and Beijing Normal University, and is currently enrolled in a PHD program in Artistry at the Department of Integrated Arts at Samyuk University in South Korea.
Between 2008-2015, she worked as a faculty member teaching modern dance, dance technique and rehearsal class instructor at Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe and PLA Academy of Arts. Between 2002 and 2013, she worked as a lead performer in the Air Force Political and Metallurgical Civilization Troupe, Guangdong Modern Dance Company, and Beijing Dance Theater. During her tenure in the troupe, she has collaborated with artists from all over the world, and participated in art festivals and exchange performances in more than 20 countries. She has collaborated with directors such as Lin Zhaohua, Gao Shixing, and Lin Xiyue.
Main Performances: "The Golden Lotus", "Stirred From A Dream", "Thousand-Hand-Kwan-YIn", "Wandering", "The Tea Spell", "Yao", "The Classic of the Mountain and the Sea", and so on.

Qin Ziqian

Graduated from Minzu University of China, He joined Beijing Dance Theater in 2014 as rehearsal director and dancer.
He has participated in many productions including "Golden Lotus", "Haze", "Wild Grass", "The Nightingale and the Rose", "Hamlet" and "A Leaf in the Storm", etc., and has traveled with the company to various major theaters and festivals both at China and abroad.
As Wang Yuanyuan's choreographer assistant, He participated in the creation and rehearsal of "Early Spring", "A Leaf in the Storm"," Lageda Laulud", and "White Snake · Revelations".

Graduated from the Ballet Department of Beijing Dance Academy and won the First Prize in the Ballet Invitational Competition of International Dance Institutes. Participated in the performance of international choreography works: "All Things Work Together", "Winter Journey", "Bloom", "Fairy Tale Heart", "Flames of Paris", "Giselle", "Deciphering Bach", "Fire of the Stars", and so on.
In 2019, He joined Beijing Dance Theater and participated in the repertoire of "Wild Grass", "Haze", "Requiem", "The Nightingale and the Rose", "Golden Lotus", "Poison", "Manolita·Chan", "White snake· Revelations ", "The Cherry Orchard", etc. He has played the main role in the company and has visited all the major theaters and mainstream festivals at home and abroad with the company.
